Have just bought the above remote control and am trying to program the following kit:

Pioneer PDP 434 HDE
Denon AVR 3803
Denon DVD 2900
Sky +

All the kit is in a cupbroard and have bought the RF Extender to work the kit in the cupboard.

Any advise would be most welcome

Read Online Help and The FAQ here. You could also buy the Ultimate Pronto Guide.

Personally I started off by finding a full file I liked the look of (look and feel) don't worry about the kit it controls. try it out on the simulator.

Once you've found the layout just mucking about and changing stuff gives you an idea of how it all works and what you can achieve. Although I haven't used it myself Daniel Tonks layout is a very good one to use

Once you have your layout (or at least the basis for it) then most good files will have the codes in a separate device or devices where you can learn your IR codes etc without disturbing the layout

One thing to lookout for if using seperate code pages. When setting the device to use RF rather than IR this MUST be done on the device where your codes are stored

Although daunting at first I found a little trial and error and looking at several of other peoples files really gave me an understanding of how it all works.

I can thoroughly recommend a file called Rats Nest (its stored in the file area by the authors name which I can't remember right now, I'll edit when I know) Its nice and simple. It is a B&W file though, I can't remember what the 9500 is equivalent to.

Edit the file I like (its all personal taste obviously) is by Peter A. Kemmer

Yes, indeed try the Ultimate Pronto Guide, available here:

http://www.prontowizard.com/

It covers the TSU300, 3500, 7000, 7500 and is rather useful for the TSU9400/TSU9600, despite that it does not cover all of the newer features.
