My PC had a major crash last week and I had to use the recovery disk to get it going again. This means I lost everything, all programs and files including ProntoEdit and all contained within.
Can I upload my current Configuration into a newly downloaded PENG and retain all of my data? Will the configuration still work? Will it also create all the data pages? (I had all my IR codes in a separate location and linked to them) I have scanned the "Ultimate Pronto Guide" again and can see no reference to this type of situation. Help!

Yes. But it must be exactly the same version of PENG that you used to download your config to your Pronto.

I had the same thing happen to me last Christmas. What a great present! :( I just installed latest PENG & uploaded file from my TSU3000. All was OK. My IR codes are in seperate devices & I link to them as needed, however everything not in the Pronto was lost (misc test PCFs & other BMPs)

Thanks guys, after many attempts with messages like "unable to communicate with the device", I finally got it to work and everything was restored. Whew!!!
Now I have been able to update my configuration and make the necessary changes.
