I am looking at finally getting my PS3 integrated onto my pronto

At the moment I can see 2 possible contenders

The Logic3 and the Nyko blu wave but I have a few questions.

1 Are either of these solutions problematic with learning their commands to the pronto and has anybody else got a file already done

2 How comprehensive is the control offered (apart from power which I know doesn't work at all :-( )
The nyko appears to offer full XMB control but the button count on the logic 3 looks a little sparse. can anyone confirm the functionality of either product

3 How big and awkward are the receivers? I'm not that keen on a hulking great receiver sticking out the front spoiling the lines. I suppose a USB extension lead could be used to move it to somewhere less obvious on my equipment stand. Its a shame there are no rear USB ports really.

Are there any other better solutions out there. The size of the receiver would be a big attraction for me as well as the control offered.

The ideal solution for me would be a IR receiver to bluetooth emitter that could sit independently and control everything. anybody with Electronic skills thought of modifying a bluetooth controller or remote to accept an IR signal?

P.S I managed to hit submit too early and only had half a post. Its taking a while to get used to the touchpad and keyboard on my new laptop. I keep tapping the touchpad by accident. sorry

the nyko offers full XMB control and the codes transfer to the pronto very smoothly. I had no problems. It works great. The only draw back is the no power button capability, but it sounds like you already know that. I have not used the logic3, but the nyko is a solid product.
May the pronto be with you

I presume the Nyko can turn off but not on. is that right

Nyko it is then. although I've only found it on Ebay from a US seller. anybody know if its comong to the UK?

Both remotes offer nearly the exact same control.

The Nyko simply DUPLICATES some of its buttons, one with the normal XMB command label, and a second with the BD playback label.

And no, you can't turn the console on *or* off, since turning it off involves accessing the "PS" menu and there is no PS command available via USB.

Well that makes the logic 3 hit the top of the list because they are a lot easier to get hold of in the UK.

Once again Mr Tonks proves he truly is the all knowing Remote god we all secretly suspect him to be. :-) Thanks.

one final question if I may? How does the receiver size compare between the 2? Its a shame you have to have a dirty key type lump sticking out the front anyway and ruining the PS3's beautiful lines but which of the 2 is more discreet/smaller. Am I right in saying the Nyko is a plastic silver finish whereas the logic 3 one is black and might blend in better?

Both seem to be about the same size, similar to a normal USB memory key. The Nyko does have some silver in its design.
