is there anyway to have some sort of timing control on a tsu7500? i would like the remote to execute commands at certain times of day and week. anyone know of a way of going about this?

Yes, go to the FAQs on this. There are timers in the tools section. I have my house and aquarium lights controlled by my 7000.

You set up timers on the remote itself. You can't do it in ProntoEdit.
