I am going crazy trying to get codes to work for my HD-DVD player (Toshiba HD-A1SN). It doesn't help that I have lost my original remote, and therefore I am unable to learn the codes.

I have downloaded the 3-4 files in the downloads section for "Toshiba HD-A1", but they do not operate the player when I download them to the remote.

I had never noticed a "SN" designation before messing with the remote -- does anyone know what it means?

Most importantly, does anyone have a set of codes for this particular model that will work for me?

To my knowledge HD-A1 and HD-A1SN should be the same. Toshiba has some strange glossary with the products.
I own the HD-E1 (European Version) which - according to package and the back of the player - is called HD-E1KTE.

To cut a long story short: The codes you can find in the file base *should* work.

What is not working? Not response at all or no correct behaviour? Did you try to adjust the duration?

Thank you Falcon1. Last night I tinkered with one of the files some more and was able to get it to work. I can't remember which one off the top of my head (different PC). The good news is that I can now program the latest firmware update. (Toshiba is so great about MAILING firmware updates on CD -- without even asking!)
