I had thought the Pronto NG remotes where no longer going to be made. Is this true? If so, when should I buy the TSU 3500? I see prices haven't really come down that much, and I'd like to replace my aging TSU 2000 with a newer model once prices start to dip. Thanks for any insight.

True the NG series is terminated. If you still want a new 3500 you should buy now. Ther will be no replacment for the 3500. The new TSU9200 will be a hard button control above this will be the TSU9400, around U$500.00 a replacment for the color tsu7500.

The TSU3000, which is almost identical to the 3500, with the major difference being more memory, can be had on e-bay for less than $100. The TSU7000 can be yours for less than $300. Again the main difference between the TSU7000 and the 7500 is the amount of memory. I have both a 3000 and a 7000 with 20+ devices programmed into them, and haven't even come close to using all the memory.

To make a long story short, buy one of the above ASAP. To paraphrase the great Warren Miller. If you don't buy a Pronto NG this year, you'll just be one year older when you finally do.

However, beware of the 3000 in general. Lots of users with bad screens out there. Find a 7000 and grab it though. It is rock solid.

Yeah, try to get a 7000 or 7500. I bought a 3000 and mine went dead after less than 3 weeks of usage.

Thank you all for the help. I can't believe they aren't going to make a similar remote. Although these remotes are hard to program, once programmed, they're great.
