I recently bought a Denon 3808 and was set to write my own codes using Denon's downloaded files, for a TSU3000. I downloaded the IR Code Generator program, and on the download page it reads,
"I threw this utility together to generate Pronto codes from the IR codes that Denon publishes on their website. I suspect that it will work with any Sharp coding, although I haven't tried it. There are codes in the Denon docs that aren't available on the remote, so this opens up some new options. To use it, enter the bit stream into the 4 input boxes. They are (from left to right) System Address (C1-C5), Data (c6-C11), Extension(C12, C13), and Data Construction (C14, C15), as described in the Denon documents. Then click Calculate (or press the enter key). The Pronto code will be shown in the lower window. It is also automatically copied to the clipboard so you can quickly paste it into the Pronto editor. Note: you should always set C15, and C15 to '00'."

I had all of the C1-C5, C6-C11,C12-C13, and C14-C15 numbers ready to go and was feeling good. I opened the program and it doesn't appear to be the same program, or I am completely wrong in what I wanted to do.

How do we know which program you got? A URL would have helped.

I used a program similar to your description. I forget the name, URL, etc. I found it quite confusing, but did eventually figure it out. If you give more info, I expect that would refresh my memory and I could tell you how to work that program.

BUT, a program I wrote called MakeHex does the same job better. There are several threads in which I have explained how to take the info from Denon or Sharp documentation and convert to the numbers used with MakeHex.

BUT2, others have done all this before you and all the Pronto Hex from all that Denon documentation is already posted in threads in the discrete forum.
