My TSU3000 still has the 2.1.X firmware on it. Is it worth upgrading to a later (or latest) version? What issues might I encounter when upgrading? Thanks!

Yes, a thousand times Yes!!!
I am using the newest firmware on my TSU3000 and it is a big improvement over the previous iterations. Faster response times (I use mine in RF mode). You also get "one push" buttons where you do not have to "wake up" the remote and then press the hard buttons a second time. Be sure that you download the newest ProntoEdit NG update to use with the new firmware or I believe that you definately will have problems.
There have been other improvements over 2.1 firmware and they might be listed on the Pronto internet site.
