I am experiencing my TSU7000 freezing after a macro of events has been selected. Basically the unit won't allow any button press commands to be selected. Sometimes the unit with return from the frozen state, this could take 3 or 4 minutes. Sometimes I have to disconnect the units battery to force a reset.

I am running TSU7000 v2.1
Application 3.8.14
Database version v3.52 U
Boatloader v4.30

I have had this happen in the previuos version of firmware and was hoping that this problem would disappear with the latest version.

Has anyone else had this issue and any suggestions and or work arounds?

Regards,
Fleetz

This is a known issue with 3.8.14. Reset the unit every 2 weeks or so or back off to 3.8.11 or 3.7.7.

Thanks Lyndel,

Is Philips aware of this? Do you know if Philips have this list of things to do in the next revision?

I have already reported the issue to Philips and they also read this forum. As far as when and if a fix will be available, I have not heard any timeframes.

Thanks Lyndel......as always quick, accurate and postive response. I did the reset this morning and corrected the situation will continue to do the reset and keep my eye on the forum to see when Philips might finally lay this very annoying issue to rest.

Regards.

Also, it does not happen to most of us, so it will be difficult to track down.

Peter's right. As I catalog over 1200 CDs and over 900 DVDs, I download configs very often so it is highly unlikely that my remote has the same config for over 2 weeks in a row. The problem is very difficult to track. For the users that are having this problem repeatedly, may I ask with the LCD timeout is set to and whether or not Timers are in use on the remote?

My TSU 7000 also freezes around every 2 weeks. When I press the info button for my cable box on the 7000, it freezes up and it takes a minute to come back on. Then the button is corrupted and I have to download the last configuration again.
It is a minor problem.

I too change configurations frequently. My LCD timer is maxed, but I do not use any timers. I've never had the problem.

For those of you having this problem. Try this but I make no guarantees.

If your LCD timeout is set to 240 seconds, please set it to 239 seconds and see how you fare. I've seen a problem that I'm trying to track with the simulator where the simulator seems to lock up after the 6 minute (240 second) timeout occurs.

This problem I've been tracking cannot be reproduced easily and does not always occur. However, I've found that the problem occurs more easily once the simulator is allowed to time out after the 6 minute period. When this does occur, the screen on the sim does not go white as it does when the time period is less than 6 minutes.
