Greetings,

I currently have the TSU3000 and will be upgrading to either the TSU7000 or TSU 7500 and have a few questions.

1. Will I be able to convert my current TSU3000 files over for use on the 7000 series?

2. Is there an advantage with going with the 7500 over the 7000 in terms of performance?

Thanks in advance !
Regards,

Ralph

1. Download the 7000 software from the files section and open/convert your 3000 PCF in the 7000 editor to see for yourself what issues you face. Primarily, the main issue will be with transparent colors as transparency is supported differently on the 7000.

2. If you plan on putting alot of images such as DVD jacket covers and full screen DVD/Movie posters, you'll want the 7500. Otherwise, the 7000 should give you what you need. The main difference is the hard buttons (plastic overlays are slightly more raised) and memory (48MB vs 32MB on the 7000). No performance benefits as the remotes use the same processor.

Greetings,

OK, I will give it a shot. I currently have quite a few DVD covers loaded on my TSU3000 with no apparent problems.

Thanks much Lyndel !

Ralph

Going from a 3000 to a 7000 last month. What a terrific difference. Your current 3000 file will actually run on the 7000. You'll be amazed how good the 3000 file looks even in black and white on the 7000. I ran my black and white 3000 version for about a week until I finished my new color version.

Did you load and save a copy of your file in the lastest 3000 editor prior to loading in the 7000 editor?

Yes. When I open the 7000 software and try to open the 3000 file nothing apprears in the file. The only options look for Pronto pro pcf.

Thanks.

Did you try Open Configuration or Import Configuration? What happens when you open a 3000 B&W PCF that you download from this site?

Greetings,

Lyndel, I tried both open and import configuration. I notice that when the window opens it says .ccf in the file name area, should it be searcheing for .ccf files or .pcf files?

I appreciate your help.

Ralph
