Hi and thanks for you time.

I have a Phillips SBC RU960, my first question is am i in the correct forum? (sorry if im not)

Also all the files that i go to download are in .pcf format and the software i use protonedit NG will only take .ccf files, is there a way to convert them and if so what do i use.

The units i would like it to be programmed for are;
Pioneer DVD recorder DVR-433H
Pioneer media center PDP-R06XE
Pionner screen PDP-436XDE
Onkyo amp TX-SR603E
Pace SKY+ receiver
Any help with getting these file would be greatly appretiated.

again thanks for you time and sorry if i'm in the wrong forum.

You have it wrong. ProntoEditNG uses PCF files. CCF files are for the older Pronto Classic models. You can convert CCfs to PCFs (using the File/Import menu). However, the native format for your Pronto is PCF.

Thanks for the speedy reply 80)

What is the best software for me to use as the current software im using came in the box, so i assumed this was correct.

Also am i in the correct forum and can i use files for the TSU3500 as i done a search and it was implied they are the same.

Again thanks

You are in the right forum. You already have the correct software - ProntoEditNG. This is the only software you can use.

You can use any PCFs for the 3000/3500/950/960. You can also use color PCFs for the 7000/7500/980/990. But the conversion from color to monochrome isn't all that good.

As I also said before you can also convert CCFs from the older Pronto range, but the only reason you would ever do that would be to get some IR codes.

What leads you to the conclusion that the ProntoEditNG you have installed from your CD will only take CCFs?

That's still not quite right. You actually open a PCF using "File"/"Open Configuration".

"File"/"Merge Configuration" is only used if you want to merge another PCF into the current PCF.

"File"/"Import CCF" is used to convert a CCF to a PCF.
