I'm programming a TSU7000 for my brother and for most of his components I'll be able to use the configuration I have for my TSU7000. However, I do have a question about his receiver and DVD player.

He has an Onkyo TX-SR800 and I noticed in the files section that there are files for a number of Onkyo receivers, including the TX-SR700, TX-SR701 and TX-SR702. Does anyone know whether the codes from any of these receivers will work with the SR800 and if so which ones (I assume they do, but I just want to make sure)?

Also, his DVD player is a JVC XV-N310B. In the files section there is an XV-N50. Does anyone know whether these codes will work with the N310B or whether any of the other codes will?

I have a full set of IR codes for the Onkyo TX-SR800 in my PCF available for download here.

The IR codes in question will be found under the device, "Pronto Signals (Onkyo TX-SR800 / RF / ID1)". If you end up copying the whole device over make sure to set the RF tab under device properties accordingly based on your brother's setup. I also have nice front and back images of the receiver under my device gallery so you know. Not sure whether you have a use for them or not, but they are there if you do. :-)

That's perfect, thanks a ton! BTW - he's just using IR and not RF, is your file set up for RF? If so, am I right that I just need to switch this to IR or am I missing something?

You are correct. Each of the IR code devices found under the Pronto Signals section of my PCF are set to use RF. If you copy the "Pronto Signals (Onkyo TX-SR800 / RF / ID1)" device over from my PCf to yours the RF tab under device properties for said device needs to be set to IR, not RF. Done deal.
