hey guys....
anyone had an issue with a pronto before where it will turn on when you put a new battery in it but after a few seconds when it goes into standby mode you cant get it to turn on again without resorting to removing the battery and reconnecting it again?
could this be a software upgrade problem?
cheers

You haven't said which model you have.
Sounds like you need to reload the firmware (using a recent version).

It does sound like the firmware could be bad. Mine was not soldered very well inside and it went flaky on me. Once i went over everything I have not had a problem since. I don't know if you are handy like that or if you know somebody who is, but they are very simple insde. Any novice with a decent solder tip and some flux can go over all the joints in about 45 min including disassembly for the first time.
