I have created a "master" all button page and use it to map in my buttons.

When I learned the buttons all but a few came in and worked fine.

After uploading to PPE and doing additional things saving and downloading again all the sound setting codes (THX Dolby etc) still work but the input device codes (tuner, DVD, AUX etc) No longer work.

I have relearned/reuploaded/saved/downloaded a few times now and it's the same thing each time.

They all work fine until I udload/download, after that half of them still work.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks.

Have you tried learning from within ProntoEdit while connected to the Pronto?

I just tested that and although they said they learned just fine, none of them work.

Noah I'm also experiencing a problem with my Yamaha Reciver it's a 2095 and I notice my remote seems to forget codes. I notice it most on my power on and off buttons when everything but the reciever goes on or off. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't it's flaky I was just looking for someone who might have an answer. while I'm not offering you an answer I thought you might like to know someone else is experienceing buttons that don't stay learned. I've noticed it also on my optoma H79 Projector.

Ok, first-things-first. Make sure you are on the latest firmware for the remote and latest versions of ProntoPro Edit. Check the File section here for the latest and greatest.

It seems odd that a learned code would vanish??? For testing purposes, try testing the actual IR code, on the IR code page for the device. Not the linked button, but the actual learned IR code button. This may require you to un-hide the IR code page, so you can see it on the Pronto.

This will take some things out of the equation, so the testing is more meaningful.

I assume you are Linking to your display buttons from your IR Codes pages and the IR codes pages are located within the Device? (especially when using an RF repeater).

If they are flakey, then there is a high probability your learn for that code may be suspect. Try re-learning a few of these bad codes and see what happens.
