Ok, I'm at wits end with my NG3000, today while using it the screen went completly dark, as if someone maxed out the contrast. The screen is responisve, for if I press on it it beeps, but I have no clue what I am pressing.

So I attempted to: lower the contrast - no luck; reseting the remote - no luck; upgrading the firmware - no luck.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do, other then toss the piece of crap in the garbage?

Hold the backlight button in (top left side of the remote), then use the page up and page down buttons (right below the backlight button) to adjust brightness (contrast). You can also set the brightness on settings page 1 accessible by pressing the pronto icon for 4 seconds.

I tired holding down the backlight button and adjuating the contrast but that did not work. As to using the pronto icon, that's not possible as I can not see anything on the screen.

Ok, so I took apart the remote and checked the screen, it's ok. It is clearly a problem with the PCB. Anyone have a broken screen NG3000 they want to sell, or better yet, anyone have an idea how to fix this?

One of my friends has a fully functional TSU3000, but with a broken screen. He is also looking to unload it as he just purchased a TSU7000. If interested send me an email and I will forward it on to my friend.

My friend purchased a replacement screen today for his TSU3000 and is now going to hold on to it. Keep an eye out on EBay though. You are bound to find someone looking to unload a working TSU3000, but with a broken screen.

I did, but the fix is less then ideal. I found a broken screen pronto on eBay and swaped my screen over.
