I've finally got my TSU7000 fully programmed in PPENG. Everything works great. I am very impressed with this remote. However, I'm setting it up to work with RF. From the remote, I set each device to RF channel 0 and ext ID 0. These same settings are set on the RF6000 extender. The remote still works as normal IR, though. Absolutely nothing has changed. So, I changed all the devices to "RF enabled" from PPENG and downloaded the new file. Still, the remote is acting as a standard IR remote. The LED light on the extender is on but won't blink. The remote will only send IR commands. What am I missing?

Change channel or extender id. You most likely have interference in the house.

You may want to search this forum and the Pronto Forum for +RF +extender +interference for more info.

Be sure that the device that stores the actual codes is set to RF. The light will blink on the RFX if any RF code is sent.

If the remote is working in IR, than you missed the setting.

Grego, thank you. You were right. I had changed every device to RF EXCEPT the IR device. Works great now.

This brings up a detail that I just started wondering about the other day.

If Device A has RF turned on, and buttons in it are aliased to commands in Device B where RF is not turned on, will I get RF commands when pressing buttons in Device A?

It sounds like you are saying no, there will be no RF commands issued by pressing Device A buttons, but please confirm this.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

In order for the RF to work, the device where the CODES are stored has to be set to RF.Therefore if you set the alaised devices to RF it will do nothing.

To answer the question....NO.

I hope this is the right spot for this. I have an early TSU3000. I have set all devices (active, hidden & linked) to RF in prontoedit & verified RF is set on remote but I'm still sending IR. Does Pronto send both IR & RF at same time? I'm baffled.
