I've red in the Pronto manual (TSU 7000) that the remote must be taken out off the docking station when the battery is fully charged. A charging time is approximately 3 hours according to the manual. It sounds strange for me. Does that mean that I can't leave the remote to overnight charging?

I just put mine on the charger for around an hour about once a week.

A battery charge of my Pronto is hardly enough for a day when I edit videos on DVR.

Once fully charged, the DS will stop charging. I leave mine docked most of the time.

I have a couple versions around (3000/6000/7000/7500) the house and they go in the charger and stay there when not in use. I also recommend to my clients to keep it the base when not in use, doesn't get lost or sat/stepped on. I have several that have been out there over 2 years with no issues.

I keep my TSU7000 docked around the clock. Been going on two years now. No problems. I only undock it if I need to use it and am not at my computer, or am leaving the house for the day. I undock it when I leave the house because one day the power had gone out while I was at work. When I got home my TSU7000 was sitting in the dock with the blue lights flashing on the dock. The remotes back cover was hot to the touch and it was dead. A reset did not work. I had to install the firmware a couple times to bring it back to life. Since then I just feel better leaving the remote undocked while not at home.

Yeah I'll second what lowpro said. I've had the blue flashing led's and hot remote a few times. It's usually when my wife has docked it, so I always assumed she didn't get it connected well. 99% of the time if it's left on the base, it shuts down fine after it's charged.
