I've had the remote for about a week now and it appears to work fine. I also bought dave d'arches UPG. Unfortunately, even after the experience of programing my Marantz 5000 I am still having trouble figuring out how to modify Daniel's 7000 pcf for my equipment. I have had diabetes for about 10 years now and my sugar's are pretty much out of control as of the last couple months. I am working with my doc and he says he should be able to get them down agin with new medication(Byetta). But right now new ideas just don't sink into a brain fuzzied up with high blood sugar. I just wish there was step by step manual on how to modify Daniel's pcf. Now THAT would realy help. I read the UPG and my brain goes on overload trying to absorb all of it. I will keep pluging along and maybe come and ask a basic question or two from some of the great people out here. Thanks for all the people out here helping other people out.

Just keep plugging along is the best advice. Open up some of the pcf files made by others and study the way the the links are made between buttons and devices. Don't try to do it all at once. The biggest "trick" out there was learning (not to) work with the PNG editors art gallery for buttons and backgrounds. They are way too slow to load. Save your art in a folder of your choice in My Documents...then when you want to load a button or background from the button properties dialog window....use the "Insert" choice not the "Gallery" choice. It's much faster and much easier to keep the art organized this way.

Also, if you find you like the button/panels/art in another's file...just open both PCF files side by side at the same time on your desktop and just shift/drag the button you like from the one file over the button in your file to change button art instantly! See "shortcuts" in Pronto NG Help file for further tricks.

Good Luck!
