I discovered this web site from one of the other threads on here - can't remember which sorry! ( [Link: hifi-remote.com]) I have mostly QS Sony gear and most can use Control A-1 commands - exploring the pages on this site shows the IR codes to be available - has anyone had any experiences using these codes?? See the File Section (Classic Pronto) for the SonyCDSupercharger program. There's a readme.txt file in this program that discusses these codes. Also search both this forum and the Classic Pronto Forum for +John +Fine +SIRCS for the last 3 months. This topic has come up within the last 2.

Thanks Lyndel Sorry I forgot the age old forum rule of "searching" before posting dumb-ass questions!! Taking a look at all the info/links provided I can see this is way above my head for the moment. It just looked attractive to be able to select things by these codes!! I'm finding it hard to learn my DB-930's remote you see. Its a 2-way thang that allows you to select (for example) the sound field from a list on its little LCD screen then press enter on the remote to change. The code sent on pressing "enter" is short and doesn't get learnt properly by Pronto (in my experience so far that is!)
Thanks
Nic
