I recently purchased an RC5400 and am looking for someone in the Washington, DC area who I could hire to program it. Any suggestions on where I can find someone?

Thanks.

Hi mike

You should have a go at programming it yourself. It is dead easy and there are many configurations on this web site which u can use as a template, I can even send you mine if you wish

I bought my first ever learning remote last july (an RC5400 also) and programmed it in very easily.

I would recommend having a go first as this is half the fun of owning one of these babies!

Good luck

Thanks, Mike. I'm definitely going to give it a shot first. I would greatly appreciate it if you would send your template. Also, any suggestions on places to find a programmer in case I decide against doing it myself?

Hi Mike

If you drop me an email - Mikee25_G@hotmail.com then i will reply with my config at some point over the weekend.

I cannot help with the programmer though as I am based on the island across the big pond!

:o)

I suggest purchasing the "Ultimate Pronto Guide" as you start. If you are still frustrated, Glenn Sheridan used to do some programming work, although I have not seen him around in a while. prontoprograming AT aol.com (only one m in programing is NOT a typo).

Michael R,

Yikes - Is an ISO programmer what I think it is, like ISO9000 or like 9001? If you need some help on programming, I do a very nice job of "Distance Programming". This is a ProntoWizard phrase, BTW. Not ISO9001 certified and also not certified for Sarbanes-Oxley work, not yet anyway.

Dave,

I think ISO means "in search of" in this case...

lol
