Hi all,

I'm having trouble "learning" the IR codes for this device, in particular the input codes ( DVD, tuner, TV/SAT, etc., ... ). I've been having to take 4-5 readings each, see which codes come up most frequently, and then using that code.

I'm wondering if someone has successfully pulled the codes for this device? I'm blowing a ton of time just going back and forth trying to get the codes ... seems like I can't be the first one battling with this device. Any help?

Also, I'm running into an interesting problem that may/may not be related. I find that if I have a button that is just going to send an IR code it works ( note: the device is configured to send the IR code over RF ) whereas if another button is going to send the *same* IR code ( again over RF ) and do something else like jump to another page, it fails. For the life of me, I can figure this one out.

Does anyone know of a central location where we could all keep our proven IR codes? A simple database would be awesome!

Thanks so much!

shawn

A button that exactly one IR code on it transmits as long as it is pushed.

Once it has more than one action, any IR codes in it are transmitted for a preset length of time.

If you have a 3000, increase the minimum duration on the IR Code.

Thanks for the quick response. I have a 7000 ... any trick for that device? I'm new at this and apologize if this is a stupid question.

You will able to specify duration on the 7000 when the promised new firmware/software is released. Hopefully in a couple of months.

Re learning problems, have you read the tips in the FAQ?
