Can anyone help,

I have the new PS2 slimline version and it would be good if i could use my RU950 with it and i dont want to have to buy the official PS2 remote just to learn the codes.

You can use my MakeHex program to translate the device and command numbers from that website into Pronto Hex.

Older PS2's required an IR receiver that was sold with the remote, so you didn't have the option to avoid buying the remote (by generating the right signals with a universal remote).

I read somewhere that newer PS2's have the IR receiver built-in. But I don't know any details. I'm just guessing they still use the same device and command codes used by models that had the IR receiver sold with the remote.

I have the codes as part of my NG config, if you want them? I will upload them to this site, later today. Cheers G

Edit: Uploaded Now. Hope this helps, should see in the files section soonish.

I learned these last night with the PS2 remote (current one on the market). Haven't tested any of them, though I was having trouble with the directional buttons.
