Call me a slow learner but can someone direct me to the proper procedures
1. Getting the 811's info into my configuration.
a) Can I only use the teach option under the diag menu on the 811
b) Havent there many people that have already done this so I don't have to?
c) If I must do the teach option where do I hold my pronto while it's learning
from the teaching 811?
d) Do I need to hold the 811's uhf button down or press one time
2. Is there something to do to the reciever to allow it to recieve ir from the Pronto and not the uhf remote that comes with the 811?

Help and directions please.

many thanks,

Millard

Just use the built in codes from Prontos database. That will set you up with IR address code 1. Make sure that the 811 sys info is set to address code 1.

Done deal.

The 811 remote is UHF only. It will not send an Satellite IR signal.

True it is a UHF only remote but the receiver has a form of IR blaster built into the menu system. You can learn IR's from the receiver when you press a button on the remote.

You should be able to use about any PCF that has a Dish receiver in it. They all use the same codes and then learn any that are specialized to your 811 remote.
