I am a new user of the Pronto Pro Edit software and am having trouble with importing Bitmaps/PNG’s into my buttons. Two issues:

1.They work OK if I don’t modify them and put them on a new button, but when I make a modification in Photoshop Elements 3.0 or Microsoft Picture it, the “Use Bitmap Transparancy” selection results in some strange behavior: Instead of blending the button into the background template, the area around the icon is white.

2.I have noticed that when I apply an unmodified PNG to a new button, it shows up properly (as noted above). However, when I try to apply the same PNG to a button that I have been using for some time with another PNG, the resulting image is changed such that there is a small black square area around the icon! Any idea what is going on??

Thank you.

2 is the correct way to go. Do you realize there are two images to a button? One for pressed and the other for the released state. If you only want to use one, you need to remove the other. If you are using both, they need to be the same size.

I figured out the problem...it was due to the transparancy setting in Photoshop...able to modify and get great icons now.
