I just bought a Pronto Pro on ebay. The unit showed up with a Radio Shack power transformer for the Dock. The transformer outputs voltage but the Dock does not. I read in a post here I should check the two pins that are on the end by themselves. I get no voltage. I opened the unit and checked the fuse and it appears to be bad. From what I have read here if the polarity on the transformer tip is reversed the fuse blows. Can anyone confirm if the inner tip is + or -? Right now it is set for a + tip.

Thanks for the fast reply! I'll be going to Radio Shack tomorrow to try to find the fuse.

Hmm, I was going to point out that most items have a symbol indicating polarity near the DC plug, but the Philips station goes against the norm and doesn't say...

The only symbols are a solid and dotted line. I guess that means something where it is made. I did get it working. The two LEDs are on and the battery charges. Now I have lots of reading to do here and some designing.

Solid and dotted lines is for DC voltage. A waveform symbol is for AC voltage.

Well, at any rate most things are positive tip. Of course, it's when you assume that and it's not it all comes back to bite you, but still I don't think I have one thing with negative in the tip.
