I am new here and planning on buying a remote. I am looking at the Marantz RC5400 and the Philips TCU 3000. This seems to be the forum where I might get an answer. These remotes seem to be very similar. One difference that I noticed is that the Marantz has twice the memory. The PC programs that they use are very similar as well. I have a Marantz SR880 as my reciever with the rest of the components a mixed bag of brands.
Is there any benefit that I would see by buying the Marantz over the Philips? Are there any other major differences that might play into my decision?
If this kind of question is inappropriate or belongs in a different forum, please let me know. I don't intend to offend or break any rules of the forum.
Thanks

Do a search on "Marantz", and you will find some very negative comments, especially about their product support.
