this may sound stupid but I find it easier than doing hex equations,
Download RAVEdit use the built in database to plug in the 7C 1A or whatever it is then click view IR and you'll see the hex code, copy and paste it into the marantz software and your good to go. from yamaha's website there are a lot of discrete codes available, such as DSP's and Zone 2 commands

ProntoEditNG does automatic translation of the various forms of Pronto Hex that could be used for these signals, so it doesn't matter which form you paste in.

It will get translated into an internal form for the tsu3000. Then (assuming it was a clean signal) if you view it later in PENG it will get translated back to the 900A form even if that wasn't the form you pasted.

So use whichever program or method you find easiest to create the Pronto Hex. It doesn't affect the end result.

Lyndel, what do you think it would do on the Marantz
models that don't support the condensed code?
Obviously the worst would be accepting the code
in ProntoEdit and having it not actually work
for transmitting the signal.

That seems to be the deal. the software accepts the code but the rc5000 doesn't seem to output the code. what a pia!
Diplomacy is the art of saying hire a pro without actually saying hire a pro
