After getting into the basic programing and learning macro's. I spilt a small amount of coffee on the remote. Cleaned it off, shook out any coffee, unpluged my rechargable battery, reset button on back. It's still dead. Anyone know somefhing I can do? Thank you in advance. John

Remove the batteries, open it up, and clean it with distilled water and let it dry for a couple of days. Search the Pronto (Not Pronto NG) Forum for "distilled" and you will find some hits.

The 3000 has 4 Torx security screws holding things together. Just be very careful about pulling any wires/ribbon cables apart.

Definetly remove the battery for a bit of time. This is the first NG case that I heard but like Lyndel said it has been discussed manty times on the old Pronto. It even happened with me and coffee. What I did at the time:

Removed battery
Flipped remote (screen side downY)left it that way for a day
Put battery in and it worked

Thank you for your ideas. After doing this with only one table spoon of coffee spilt in a key place my remote is toast. Guess I should have bought the extended warrenty. 7000 is in my future I guess.

I hate to burst your bubble, but most extended warranties do not cover "abuse" and giving a remote swimming lessons definitely constitutes "abuse".
