What’s best Rc5900 or RU980?
I’ve been programming Philips remotes for a long time now with great success, at the moment iv got NGs and Prontopros working very well on jobs. But for home I want to upgrade. Now hears the big Question! Rc9500 or RU980?
The Ru950s i have fitted, and the one currently running at home is good alround peace of kit but I do like the look of the marantz, but I haven’t ever used the marantz software so could someone tell me a little about and its pros and cons.

Many Thanks

Donkey,

There are already several threads that speak of the RC5400 in this forum as well as some that discuss the new RC9500.

There really is no quick answer here. A search will help you make up your mind based on other opinions.

The RC9500 does not have the 4 hard buttons beneath the screen (it only has 2).

I have an RC9200 and absolutely hate the squeaky battery cover when you pick up the remote. The case seams really, really flimsy compared to a TSU6000, TSU3000, TSU7000, or even the older RC5000i or TSU1000/2000 remotes.

You're wrong and then you're right and then you're wrong again... in that order :)

Oh sure - edit your post... now you're right and huh?

To clarify that, the RC9500 does have the 2 scroll buttons on the side. And hopefully you've downloaded the Wizz.it 9 software for the RC9500 to know that the HELP file works!
