The Nomad Juke Box has an IR receiver on it. Initially creative labs said it was there in case they wanted to add IR remote control to unit via changes to the firmware. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would love to control my mp3 jukebox via my TSU-3000.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you'll research carefully, each playlist in the Creative software is assigned a unique number. This number can be used as a Disc Slot #. This opens up your MP3 player to possible use with SuperNudelist. Supernudelist, currently for legacy remotes (CCF format) supports a 240x253 screen dimension migration mode that you can use to generate CCFs that you may import into PENG. From there, you can merge a supernudelist-generated PCF with your current PCF.

See SNL in the Pronto Files Section. There is the beginniing of a Jump-Start document as well as a folder that describes how I migrate my SNL CCF into my current TSU7000 PCF.

Thanks for the response. The SNL stuff sounds cool. I can just have a bunch of play lists that are essentially CDs.

I have more basic questions.

I'm not sure if my Nomad Jukebox (not a nomad jukebox II or III) will respond to IR commands. When I bought the Jukebox (brand new years ago) it did not have a remote and did not profess to work with any remote. The manual say the IR window on the front is there for future remote access. Any advice on where to get the IR commands and/or Jukebox firmware to take advantage of the commands would be helpful.

The model number is DAP6G01. I got info from creative and they say that there is no firmware support for NJB01 so I am outta luck. So much for forward thinking on their part.
