Well, this is a real weird one. While dimming a lite with my 7000 via IR into an
IR543, I noticed that the receive lite on the IR543 was staying on an unusually
long time. Upon further experimentation, I noticed that while on the numeric
keypad screen only, if I pressed the designated device (ex.#2) and then pressed
the dim button, it would first send a short burst as it normally does. If I pressed again,
it sent a burst between 2 & 4 seconds which completely dimmed the lamp. I suspect
it may be a corrupt code or possibly a problem with the pronto itself ,as it is not a
consistantly repeatable command. Sometimes , repeated presses do no more than
the standard short burst, and other times I get the long burst. I will continue to
investigate this to see if I can determine any pattern. What is most interesting though
is that regardless of the cause, it appears their is some way to get long commands
out of the Pronto. For reference, this started after I learned the codes directly to the
7000 from my old TS1000 which sent longer commands. I'll keep you all posted.
