Hi pronto group, I recently bought a tsu-3000, It’s very nice but I have some problems accessing its build in IR database. Here is an example:

I have a dvd/vcr jvc hr-xvc37u unit, and then on the device settings I pick “DVD”, brand will be “JVC” but there is no model number field, instead there is a code set that I don’t know what is for and the help file doesn’t say much about it.

Can somebody point me in the right direction of where can I find the code set for this and other devices.

Thanks.

Like a lot of Pronto User's do, "FORGET" about the built in IR database and learn the IR codes from you OEM remote. Chances are the built in won't have all the IR's you need for your device. It only takes a couple of minutes to learn the IR's onto a IRcode page in your Pronto.

Yep but I was hoping to find discrete on/off or input selection there.

Thanks

Many discrete IR codes can be found here on the forums. I learned all my IR codes and found most of the discrete codes in needed here on the forums. In one case a helpful forum member showed me where to look and what to do to create a discrete code I needed. Talk about helping out!

Good luck with finding the discrete IR codes you need. The best way to start overall is to learn all the IR codes on your own and then start hunting down the discrete IR codes you need.

If you want to use the internal DB, you need to experiment with the different code sets to see which one (if any) works.
