Hi,
I live in the UK, and as most of you know ProntoNG's aren't available here yet.
I posted awhile ago about buying a US device, but quickly realised that due to the RF wavelengths used this would be a bad idea.
However, now that the release date has been put back and the approx price is high, I'm now wondering about buying a US machine again, when I had a thought, isn't the RF module sold seperatly?, and if so couldn't I get a US pronto and a UK RF module when they're released?
Would that work ok?, without causing satellites to crash, or the microwave to take off?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,
Yes, the RF module is sold as an option in the U.S. I suspect the one potential problem is if the US model outputs RF at a certain frequency range, that might not be compatible with the UK RF receiver. I might suggest you research the frequency ranges of both and see if they match. That might give you some idea if they will work at all.

The RF used in UK and US is different, so you will not be able to make a US Pronto talk to a UK base.
