I need some help when I attempt to label the hard buttons on the TSU3000 using the ProntoEdit NG software I am unable to change the Tool button and button number four. I have gone into the properties section and can label button two and three the other buttons are locked. I would appreciate any help.

For the love of God, if anyone has resolved the inability to change button one and four, please share this information. I'm about to kill myself. Shifing into Advanced Mode is supposed to allow you to configure all hard buttons but this is not the case.

I'm definitely in advanced mode. FYI, I'm using the NG software version from remote central, as opposed to the version that came with the remote

There is no work around to edit the 1st and 4th hard buttons. We will probably have to wait for a software update to fix the problem.

Joel, why don't you install the one that came with the remote? But first you may have to uninstall the one from here. The reason why you should do this, is who knows if it changed or not. Don't for get just because it might be an older version, doesn't mean they didn't delete that feature for some odd reason.

Similiar to NeoEdit, PENG does NOT support the ability to configure Firm Keys 1 and 4, even in Advanced mode. The FirmKey1 is fixed to "Tools" functionality.

yeah but we are supposed to be able to do something with them anyways. Not right now, but we're supposed to. Besides, who wants to have the tools button avabile all the time. Where someone can press that button and change something on the remote?

As Rob says, we're supposed to be able to change them - the PENG online help says all four buttons are changeable and shows a screen capture with the Tools button renamed!

Assuming that buttons one and four are fixed and cannot be configured, I can live with a static tools key. Does this mean that we're stuck with no functionality for button four (at least for this software version)?? Is there something I'm overlooking?

I discussed this issue with Philips at CES, the right button should be taken care of and I've suggested a few things on the left button.

What were you suggestions? And what did they say about them? Also, when is this supposed to happen?

Also, any word about the various "file corruption" problems which people have reported in PENG?

Sounds like an advertising misrepresentation. If we aren't able to configure 2 hard buttons, then they lied. Anyway we can petition Philips to work on this fix faster?

Rumor has it, the next frimware update is scheduled for the second week in March, and quite possibly will be in the first week in March. I beleive it will have the 4th (right) button corrected.
