Is there a firmware update for the TSU 2000 that would allow users to program remotes from 2010? If so, could you please provide a link to this update?
I searched RemoteCentral.com, as well as the Philips Pronto site, but I couldn't find any updates specifically for the TSU2000.
Thanks for the information.

What's the question behind the question, though? I take "programming remotes from 2010" to mean taking some kind of programmable remote from 2010, and programming it... but with the TSU2000 software?
Otherwise, it could mean taking remotes for 2010 products and programming a Pronto TSU2000 to have their commands. In that case, the commands would have to be learned into the Prontos unless there were ccfs in the Files section.
Now, if that were the case, I don't understand why the original poster wants a firmware update. I've been using a TS1000 as my main IR command learning tool for about five years, and they learn every command I run across.
So, to the original poster: I think you're concluding that you need a firmware update due to some problem. Maybe if you describe why you need something, we could come up with another answer for you.

I think he wants to not have to learn IR commands from his 2010 OEM remote as he/she just bought some new equipment.

That being said, go ahead and learn the codes or find a CCF/PCF/XCF file containing codes for your equipment as a firmware update to expand the IR database is not gonna happen. Product has been discontinued for quite some time (at least 6 years).

Ah, there's a detail: I never use the database, so it never occurred to me that the database update would be part of a firmware update.

On some remotes there's a benefit to using the database... such as on URC, that's the only way to get proper toggle codes as on Marantz, Philips, MCE, etc.
But on Pronto I genuinely prefer learned codes.
