Anyone know how to replace the backlight in a TS1000? For that matter, where can I buy the bulb?

DB,

As long as the screen buttons still work, then in all probability it's the L1 inductor that's toast. Do a search on L1 inductor for the specs and sources. It's not that hard to replace. It's a small black piece that functions as a power inverter.

There are some pictures/instructions (the text links to photos) here: [Link: joey6p.com]

Hi there, i'm on a similar situation, where the LCD screen is ok, but it won't light up, thus the problem is dealing with it at night, where you can't see a thing on the screen.

I guess I don't have to replace the entire screen, correct? What about this L1 inductor, where should I look for on the devide?
regards

Fernando,

Please see the other post you opened for instructions for finding part number as well as replacement.
