Before I buy a Pronto, I would be interested to know if it will be capable of controlling a 1992 model Pioneer Elite RPTV. I have heard some discussion in the past that Pronto has trouble with some of Pioneer Elite's equipment. Anyone have any information or comments on this? Thanks in advance.

I would be Very interested in same. I have an Elite PRO-119. Even the the RPTV remote has to be aimed directly at the ir receiver to work. Does the Pronto work better than the OEM remote? Looking to buy a Pronto this week!! Thank you for your help.

I have the Pro-119 and the pronto will not learn the IR codes from the remote. It was suggested to get the currents year remote and program the pronto off of that one. A few of the functions did work and are the same but also quite a few didn't. I'm planning that when the software is released that the codes for the 119 will be posted and we can download them. I really like this remote but if it can't even run my RP......

Ron,
Did you try the suggestion that you get the remote for the PRO-200 and use it for programming, or was your limited success based on your trying to use the 119's remote?? No sense me getting this thing if it can't run my RPTV!
Thanks.

Bruce,
That is exactly what I did. I put all the codes for Pro-200 into the Pronto. They work fine to control the 200 but not all of them work for the 119. Even pushing the VCR input button on the 200 will cause the LD input to activate. Another plus of the 119 is that by pushing the source it automaticaly turns on the RP and sets it to the source. This is like having a dedicated on button.
Again I hope the software may have some codes and answers. If it dosen't then......

Ron
