Hi there,

I'd like to convert these Codes for iPod Universal Dock (900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0411) into the long HEX Format which should work with my "old" Pronto.
After trying a few hours without success here is my Question:
Has anybody already the "long" Codes avilable for the new iPod Dock?

They should look starting like this "0000 006D ...".

Here are the short codes (again):
Menu
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0211

+ ( vol.+ )
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0B11

- ( vol. - )
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0D11

prev
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0811

next
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0711

play/pause
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0411

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I tried it with "makehex", but without success.

I tried it with this code:
play/pause:
900A 006D 0000 0001 EE87 0411

I converted the numbers like that:
EE=238 > first device
87=135 > prefix command
04=4 > secondary device
11=17 > Function

Then took the file NEC1.irp and put in my Values.
Generated a hex file.
Pasted into Prontoedit.

But....NO SUCCESS....

Please help me, what did I wrong?

Many Greetings,
Ralf

900A is normally used for NEC1 protocol.

The first data byte EE is the device. The second 87 is the subdevice. So in the notation used by NEC1.irp you have
device=238.135

The third 04 is the function.

BUT the fourth is supposed to be the check byte of the function. Instead you have 11 (17 decimal) every time.

I don't believe I've ever seen that before. There is a Tivo code set similar to NEC1 but with a different check byte. But your signals don't match that either.

Assuming the data you have in 900A format is correct, you should make an iPod.irp file copying nec1.irp but changing the ~F to 17 in the Form line, so the new Form line would be:
Form=*,D:8,S:8,F:8,17:8,_;*,_

I am trying to set up my Pronto (TSU2000) to control my iPod via the new iPod Universal Dock. I haven't actually tried the codes yet, but I assume I will also need the long hex codes for use with my Pronto? Am wondering if you would be willing to post the long hex codes generated from the short codes listed above? I am not familiar with the MakeHex utility and therefore not sure how to generate them myself. Thank you.
