Hi I am trying to upload my current configuration from my RC5000i to my PC using RC5000 set up. I have tried all versions. It download the configuration but will not save it. It returns a message saying it is too big for the RC5000. My remote say I have 85 % of the memory free.
Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it.
Thanks
Anna Karydas

RC500 Setup is an ancient version of the software. The latest verison is called Touch Screeen Setup.

In RC5000 Setup, there's a menu option under the File Menu that I believe lets you set which type of remote, RC5000 vs RC5000i. The 5000i has 2MB of memory and the RC5000 only has 1MB.

In either case, you should be using Touch Screen Setup as Peter suggests which you can download from the Pronto Files Section under the subsection Original PC Software.

I have the RC5000 setup correctly and at 2MB. I also downloaded Touch Screen setup and the same error occurs. I am have upload the ccf from the remote before with no problem. Unfortunately the copy I had was on a laptop of mine that crashed so I no longer have a copy.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Anna

If you've tried both programs without success, there's only 1 alternative I can think of. Download Tonto from here: [Link: giantlaser.com] and give that a try. It has sometimes been succesful when the other programs have failed. It's quite possible that your ccf has been corrupted somehow. Even if you get it downloaded and saved, it might not help much.
