When I try to save a file the "save as type " box list the file type as TS1000(no db) Config file. Is this why there's no I/R available under "add i/r" and the only brand listed is philips. Can I get a database? Where would I get that?

What remote do you have? If you have the ts 1000, it does not have a database, as Peter said. However, if you really have a tsu 2000, or 6000. But you have seleted the ts 1000 as your remote for ProntoEdit, then you must change that setting to your remote.
