Is there a way to let the Pronto send all possible device codes to find the right codes for an old tv?
I know of some universal remotes that are "programmed" in that manner: you select a function that sends a OFF command for all possible devices. After your device reacts (it is turned off), you stop the remote and it is correctly "programmed".
Can my Pronto do such a thing?

However, if you'll tell us the Make and Model, I'm sure someone will have a file or know what codeset should be used and can possibly generate you a set of code.

Even better, should you have the original remote, we can tell alot about the IR scheme being used and can maybe recommend a CCF file to download and try.

You might try learning the Power Toggle Code and posting the IR data here.

That's just the problem. I don't have the original remote. And I searched the web for the make and model of the tv, but I can't find one match.
The tv is a Novak type 166239K / 21W (a small tv in our bedroom).
I'm sure it had a remote, because there's a LED that starts flashing, when I push some buttons on the Pronto, but the tv doesn't do anything else.

If you have the factory ccf in the remote. You can do a "search" on your own. Granted it will take time. But at least your able to do some kind of search.

Press the menu button down at the bottom of the screen to pull up the menu. Then click on BRAND. There should be a search of brands on that menu page. There are dozens of brands with a dozen or so codes in each brand. Like I said, it will take time.

In this case, you are able to test out more than just the power button.

See this thread found by searching Yahoo with the model # 166239K.

It may respond to Philips IR Codes.

Already tried that.
