Hi All
My current laptop only has the 15 pin monitor port and the connection for the pronto has the RS232 connection.

Will I be able to use a USB port with an adaptor? Will pronto edit pick up the USB port or will i need a 15pin to 9pin adaptor on the monitor port?

Cheers
Cocoboy

Do a search on "USB". This question is asked a lot.

I have a similar problem. I've done a search but can't seem to get the answer to my problem. I have bought a Keyspan high speed serial to USB adaptor, tried all my USB ports, but PE still cannot see my pronto.

I have had problems using usb adapters with both ru890 and 940s using prontoedit on my laptop, but downloaded 'tonto' software - [Link: giantlaser.com]
