Hiya guys! my first post here. I have a nokia 6600 phone and bought Total IR remote software from psiloc.com The software supports uploading ccf and lirc files. My problem is that lot of my remotes are from non standard companies and i cant find ccf files on the net. Is there anyway to learn the IR codes of these remotes by buying a small hardware (USB - IR adaptor ?) and use it with pronto edit instead of buying a Pronto remote? thanks a lot Rohit

What do you mean you can't find a ccf on the net???????
We have a crap load of ccfs here on remote central. Just look in the file section.

Robbo,
He means he can't find a ccf for his unusual or non-standard gear.
Rohit,
The only adaptor I know of is the pronto remote itself. Since your Nokia can't learn, you need to either find a friend with a Pronto, or see if the company that makes your gear can provide the codes. Someone here can help you convert them, even if they aren't in Pronto hex format.

Rob, I meant that I am not able to find the ccf file for the "non standard remotes".
bomberjim I guess I will try to get in touch with the manufactures and get the IR codes from them.
cheers Rohit
