I'm looking for a CCF file or hex codes to control the above tape deck. I found a MX5 file here on RC, is it possible to convert it into CCF/hex codes?

Thanks!

Try other Sony Tape Deck files first. Sony uses the same IR codeset across devices of the same type. Only discrete codes might be different.

Since you found the MX5 file, I presume you may know something about codes.

The following link is a site to all Sony Codes. You can use the information on this site as input to the MakeHex program (Files Section) to generate a full set of codes.

See this link from the NG forum where I instructed someone as to how to get a codeset for other sony tivo devices.

All Sony tape decks use the same codes. I searched out every possible code a few years ago - far more than any Sony tape deck remote had - and they're in my CCF.

Were can I find your CCF? A search on your name brings up a bunch of CCFs made using your codes by other peeps!

Thanks for responses, I'm still having problems!

My deck is connected to my Sony rcvr via CTRL-S, is there a difference in the codes used to remote control CTRL-S kit?

Does your tape deck not have an IR receiver?
