I received a phone call today from a friend in New York who reported to me that one of our fellow forum members suffered a stroke and died as a result.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jon Armstrong's family. Most of you might have seen him as JArmstrong. He lived in Washington DC. He was a very jovial and pleasant guy to deal with. Both he and John Fine were instrumental in helping so many of us with IR Problems.

He will surely be missed.

Truly a shame, IIRC he helped me out one time, as well as many other folks around here. He will be missed.

A devastating loss to the community. I read about this first thing yesterday morning and it was a blow I felt the entire day.

I couldn't agree more that this is a devastating loss to the community. I remember how Jon helped many peoples with complex IR problems.
