With the help of the folks at this forum, I was able to build a CCF with the IR codes that seem to somewhat approximate the keyboard commands from a LiteOn Airboard. I understand a little better the make/break concept and how the keyboard IR commands are different than traditional IR commands from a standard remote.

The issue I have now is that the commands only get through about 50% of the time when issused from the Pronto vs. the keyboard itself. I have tinkered with the filterkeys settings in Windows and tried several other CCF files, but no real improvement.

From Goggling the topic, it appears that at least some people have gotten this combination to work correctly. Maybe I am being just picky, but the somewhat arbitrary success rate that I am having makes reliable marcos difficult. I'm not sure at this point where to go on this. I may post over on the AVS forum as well.

My fallback position is to go back to a second IR receiver and use Girder on the PC. The response was excellent in that mode, but I abandoned it after Girder seemed to be unstable from time to time. when I got the Airboard, I assumed that I could use it's IR receiver to support the Pronto as well.

Any suggestions are welcome at this point.

Jarstrong or John Fine. I think you both have experience with this keyboard and may be able to tell us more information as to how you can use MakeHex to generate the codes. Do either of you care to comment?

Well, I did a little more testing and the root cause appears to be IR interference between the TV and the Airboard IR receiver. Once the two items were separated, all of my problems with the Pronto went away. I'm not sure why this didn't affect the keyboard as much, but the bottom line is that everything plays nice now. Thanks to those who took time to look at this.
