Does anyone have a file for the the Mot 6208 to get to the favorite channel guide directly without going to setup? I can select menu, then favorites on the menu and it takes me to the FAVORITE GUIDE.

If I select FAVORITES it pulls up the regular guide and skips to each favorite. I like the approach where it only shows the favorites. Anyone have a file or idea?

Thanks,
Todd

There is no discrete code available to bypass the menu selection of 'Favorites' and take you straight to this list. The 'Favorites' button on the remote just cycles you through your list of favorite channels.

Sorry.

Are there any discrete codes for future recordings?

Thanks,
Todd

I have no idea on that question... I would, however, suspect not as the Motorola cable boxes typically don't have many discrete functions. Not even Power On/Off.

I have the 6412 box, and as Lyndel says, discretes are practically non-existent. In fact, the code set is the same as the old boxes (DCT-2000) for basic functions. You could program a macro to accomplish these tasks however.

FWIW, there ARE codes for a 30 sec skip forward, and a 15 sec skip back. You may not have these available, depending on your OEM remote. Check the files area under component ccfs if you don't have/want these codes.
