Hi, I have my TSU2000 set up with all the DUFFY Pronto buttons.

Now, I want to replace these buttons with fancy ones found in the RemoteCentral file section.

Is there a way to simply copy new buttons over the old, while leaving the IR codes in place? I'm trying to not have to relearn every button.

Thanks again for the help! Ron

Yes. I can't remember the key stroke. Look it up in the online help. Something like Ctrl+ALT drag and drop.

If you cannot find an easier way than this that I propose, you can always:

Create new buttons with the artwork you want, and put them on the same panel (or not) that has the old crummy buttons.

Then edit an old button and double-click on its name. This will open a window which will allow you to look at the hex code for that button. Then you can copy the code from that button, go to the other button, and paste it into the same window for that new button.

This is nerve-wracking because an interruption (phone, whatever) can make you (me, anyway) forget whether you were copying or pasting. It is not hard, just tedious, and requires attention to detail mostly because of the repitition.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Create a small CCF with the buttons you want the artwork from in a single device. Save this CCF. Open YOUR CCF and once opened, open the small CCF. When asked to 'Merge' or 'Replace', specify merge. Then, open up the new panel (one with images) side by side with the panel you want to use the new images on. You should be able to Alt-Drag from the new buttons to your buttons to copy icons.

If you go the way Ernie suggested, you run the risk of losing any links to the buttons you currently have defined.

Correct. I didn't think of that. The process I describe will only help you to get individual IR codes onto new buttons.
