Any suggestions on programs (perhaps freeware) to build and covert pics to bitmaps. Is there a program that i can input the basic fields like 240x270 pixels, and 8-bit colour. I'm trying to get some basic programing results. A custom title page, couple device controls, and two macros. Simple?

Feedback would be very appreciated.

I have used plain old PAINT to do some things. My son, who is better at this than I, took a scan of a photo and made it into a pretty small and even recognizable picture, where he needed to use dithering to make it look right, and I think he used
PAINT for that, too. Paintshop Pro can be used for this as well. I have not really learned how to use it that well, but have found it helpful even to my limited ability.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I've had some success with paint. Success in that i've been able to import pics, and covert them to files that the touch screen setup program will accept, but when i "emulate" i can't see any of my custom pages. Any ideas on that problem?

Most likely you have no properties assigned to your buttons. Add delays and you should be fine.

For a page to be visible when you jump to it, it must also have at least one button with a valid action. When doing simple animations, jumping through several screens, I ususally put a 1x1 pixel button in the lower left corner in a color that matches my background. Inside this button, I add a 0.1s delay.
