My husband received a Pronto remote as a gift. Not long after, it ceased to work. It's not the batteries. It turns on, but the touchscreen doesn't respond. I'm wondering where I might take it/send it to get it foxed and how much it might cost. Also, is it even worth it? I have had no luck getting information from Philips. Thanks!

I assume that it's no longer under warrantee (or purchased used)? If so, Philips will repair it for a flat fee (actually send you a refurbished replacement). Can't remember what the fee is but it's in the neighborhood of $150.

Depending on what model you have, and what's wrong, it is possible to repair it yourself, or perhaps get a local electronics shop to install parts. From the limited information, I'd try reflashing the firmware, and then maybe attempt a screen replacement. What model is it?

"Stupid question hat on"

Have you tried doing a reset on the unit. My TSU 2000 would freeze on me from time to time. A reset always got it going.

What are you using to recalibrate the pronto with? If you are using something "large" like your finger then that is why it keeps on failing. Try using something that has a blunt end. Like a pencil, a pen or something like that.
